Qualifications:The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, but not limited to: Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field (science, engineering, safety, risk management, public health, etc.) – CIH certification or working toward certification desirable, 5+ years of relevant hands-on industrial hygiene experience performing work environment assessments (noise, air quality, ventilation system design/evaluation, etc.) including the design of sampling protocols, conducting the survey, interpreting data and reporting. Experience with a wide variety of sampling equipment and methodologies is required. The successful candidate will have the ability to assist clients in establishing work environment surveillance strategies, conducting relevant training and assist clients with investigating occupational injury/illness cases. In addition, the incumbent will have relevant hands-on safety experience developing and auditing safety programs, conducting hazards inspections, conducting incident investigations, analyzing workplace injury/illness rates and developing and conducting safety training to various audiences. Must have the ability to work as part of a team and with little or no immediate supervision - mechanical and/or scientific aptitude a plus - strong customer service skills - must have extensive and detailed knowledge in OSHA compliance - knowledge of other regulations such as NFPA including Life Safety Codes also desirable - must be extremely proficient in writing and public speaking skills. In addition, the candidate will have the following skills: excellent communication, phone and grammar skills, strong background using computers and proficient in MS Word and MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) - ability to work with & learn software applications - must be trustworthy, dependable, flexible and creative - accuracy & attention to detail a must - ability to handle efficiently, a variety of responsibilities & projects - self starter - manage fast pace and meet deadlines and hold matters in strict confidence.
